Deleting an app takes two seconds, and so does reinstalling it. The account is what actually needs to go. PrizePicks is a pick'em fantasy app, and in many states it isn't covered by the state's sportsbook self-exclusion list. That makes its own tools important.

If a button isn't where we say it is, the app probably moved it. Support chat can do every step below if you ask for it by name.

How to close your PrizePicks account

  1. Withdraw your balance first. Once you self-exclude, your money stays locked until the period ends.
  2. Open the menu, tap Responsible Gaming and choose Self-Exclusion, then pick LIFETIME to close the account for good.
  3. The red Delete Account button at the bottom of Settings also exists, but PrizePicks says it can reactivate those accounts later.

PrizePicks says LIFETIME self-exclusion is permanent: the account can't be reactivated and you can't open a new one.

Closing vs. self-excluding from PrizePicks

Picture three locks. Closing is the weakest, since support can usually reopen it. A break holds until a date you pick. Self-exclusion is the strongest and usually can't be lifted early, so that's the one you want if you're quitting.

Why PrizePicks slips past some state lists

Pick'em apps are regulated differently from sportsbooks in many states, so a state sportsbook ban may not reach PrizePicks. Exclude here directly, even if you've already joined your state's list.

Take a break from PrizePicks

  • Timeout: 1 to 30 days. It can't be cancelled early.

Self-exclude from PrizePicks

  • Self-exclusion: 30 days or longer, or LIFETIME. It blocks all account access and stops marketing notifications.

Because PrizePicks is a pick'em fantasy app, your state's sportsbook self-exclusion list may not cover it. Exclude on PrizePicks directly, and on any similar apps you use.

Set limits on PrizePicks

Deposit or entry fee limits by day, week or month, lasting at least 90 days, plus activity alerts. A limit on one app is easy to get around by opening another one. Use limits alongside self-exclusion, never as your only lock.

Block PrizePicks on your phone and cards

Deleting the app is step one. Sign out everywhere, then put a blocker on your phone so it can't come back on a bad night. BetBlocker is free and can be locked for years, and this guide covers the rest.

Then take your cards off the account and ask your bank about blocking gambling charges. To stop the emails and texts: Use the email unsubscribe link, and ask support to stop texts and push notifications.

Stop PrizePicks VIP hosts, rewards and offers

If anyone from PrizePicks contacts you personally with bonuses or offers, treat it like a VIP host.

Self-exclusion is the cleanest way to end it. After that, send PrizePicks support one email asking to be taken off every rewards and VIP list, and save it. Any offer that shows up after you self-exclude is worth reporting to your state regulator. How to get VIP hosts to leave you alone.

What about your data?

Ask for data deletion by email or support chat. Some records are kept.

Close the rest too

Closing PrizePicks helps. The other apps are still one tap away, so shut those down too:
